Feelin' the California Love- Remington's/Barberi's!

We have been
so lucky to have family and friends come visit us.
Thank you!!
Remington's come for a visit!!!
Darlyn, Ben, Jacoby, Jessica and Eliza popped over from France for four days to visit us! It was absolutely fabulous to have them, catch up and hear all about what's going on in their lives. We have totally missed living so near to them and it was really wonderful to have another Sunday dinner together.

When the Remington's arrived, we started our time off together on a Soho Food Tour.
This was cute Eliza's request...good food...
We visited 10 different little shops and ate some fabulous food.
This is London's China Town

Jacoby and I eating our first oyster! (Ben's a pro)
slimy...yet satisfying...
 Chocolate connoisseurs!
Piccadilly Circus
Jacoby is a WWII buff, so we went to the Imperial War Museum and spent some great time there.
First double-decker bus ride for the Remington's!
I love that this picture captures so much of "London".
It was SO beautiful that night.

 Westminster Abbey
Jessica's request was to visit a beautiful castle, so we picked Bodiam Castle
in East Sussex, with its impressive moat.

Live shows on castle life
Everyone loved climbing through the old castle walls and learning about it's history.

Anne got to try on the over-weighted armor.
We are still unsure at how soldiers actually fought with this on. It's SO heavy.

My kids could not get enough of their time with the Remingtons.
Jacoby wanted to see more of the fabulous art..so we went to the National Gallery
I showed them my favorite Rembrandt
You can't beat England in the summer time.
Wow! Is it ever beautiful!
 Jess, Anne and Eliza

 Camden Locke Market
We met up with Jacoby's friends who were studying at Cambridge for the summer, Russell, Taylor and Tanner.

Sunday Drive

We drove together out to the London Temple.
We got a few great shots of their family.

Tuesday's lunch!
The next day, we went for lunch at my favorite Books for Cooks store/café.

Oh my goodness! It was SO much fun having them and seeing them IN ENGLAND
and just being together again. Love you so so much..

Then, two weeks later,
the BARBERI'S came to visit!
Jim and Bonnie are some of our dearest friends from Ripon. It was a riot to see them!
They were so much fun and just requested to see "where we lived".
Dinner at the pub The Four Horseshoes
Sunday dinner in our home
Bonnie requested a piano and talent show from the kids...
The kids loved performing for them with all the applause and praise.

Then on Monday, Bonnie, Jim and I drove out to the Cotswolds.
I have been really wanting to go and we got to see the two cutest towns:
Burton-on-the-Water and Stow-on-the-Wold
How cute are they?! I love this picture.
 Burton-on-the-Water
We ate at the cutest bakery.
Bonnie had cake for lunch! I love it!

The flowers were crazy beautiful

Burton-on-the-Water is also known as "Little Venice of the Cotswold"
 Stow-on-the-Wold
The buildings are so quaint and charming

We also took them on a fun walk around Virginia Water Lake
They are SO cute!
We love you Bonnie and Jim xoxo
Thank you so much for coming and visiting us.
