Cruise 2018!!!!!!

Cruise 2018!!!
Fall Break! Our kids were all on board for one more European cruise. What stunning places we were able to see. I cannot believe how beautiful this world is...with so many amazing people, stunning sites and being able to see them with my family has been incredible.
📍Genoa, Italy
You know, I ask the kids to take so many pictures, sometimes it gets...um, well....a little more challenging to make it happen sometimes....
First picture...posed...
Second picture...real life...

📍Rome, Italy

Gorgeous Le'olani and Michelle were with us on this trip. We had so much fun together.
Anne, collecting picturesque evidence

Rome is AHHHMAZING! The Colosseum and Forum!

Gelato... it never gets old🤤
seriously!! What is it about this magical ice cream????
Trevi Fountain
Some quick facts about this amazing fountain!
It's just one of 1,352 fountains in Rome! It's one of the oldest water sources in Rome. It's built with the same materials as the Colosseum, it was funded by gambling, apparently your tossed coins into the fountain (which grants you back to see Rome again in the future) is also collected every night and given to a local charity to buy groceries for the less fortunate - how cool is that?! - almost 3000 Euros, and it's illegal to steal the coins.

The Spanish Steps just behind us...

The Spanish Steps, built in 1717, are 174 steps that join 2 Piazza's
and really made famous through modern day films.
From the Spanish Steps you can begin your shopping tour with Rome's poshest street, Via Condotti
Street Pizza in front of the Pantheon - built in 113-125AD
Such incredible design and SOOOO advanced for its day.
Pantheon

The Vatican City
We didn't have time to go in this time, but it never gets tiring to see such an incredible building.
📍Palmero, Italy
We met up with some friends (Brown family - Rob, Heidi, Ginger and Carsen) who were traveling to Palmero during the break. Heidi and I looked and looked for things to do for the few hours we were off the ship...Maybe our choice was a little random...Talking about and actually visiting a catacomb...two VERY different experiences. We were able to see the Capuchin Catacombs of Palermo.
...We can check that one off the bucket list...
Heidi Brown, Carson, Ginger, Rob Brown, Ty, Spencer, Josh, Brittany, Ike and Anne
Josh's favorite thing to do...visit another cathedral..but I kept them convinced..because we were headed to...

Beach Volleyball in Mondello - Okay, now we are talking! haha!

I think they had a little fun.

📍Cagliari, Italy

"Turbo"- Dad

If you are wondering, we are representing the six flamingos we saw :)

📍Palma de Mallorca, Spain
So... yess. Palma de Mallorca was a major shopping spree.
Dad, "I left my wallet in Mallorca."

📍Valencia, Spain
Hiking to the top of a bell tower.

Beach day!!!! Amazing sand, weather and views. The cruise ship was literary right behind us. Although, the cab driver got lost and Anne had to use her "Spanish skills" to get us back
📍Marseille, France
In Marseille we went on an adorable train ride called, "Le Trèn Petite" which took us all around the city and up to the Cathedral.

Yes, yes Anne is obsessed with her shoes... thanks mom for letting me steal them :))

Core Four

Perfectly framed photos :))

📍Milan, Italy

We had about 6 hours to kill before our plane time, so a few of us ventured out into Milan and we were not disappointed by the AMAZING calzones... or something like that.
