Lagos, Portugal March 31- April 7, 2018

Lagos, Portugal~April 2018
Spring Break!
We made our way south to the sun to the most beautiful place along the Algarve Coast.
We rented a fun villa with grandpa and gram-gram and another family from Florida, that we met on last years cruise, the Fitzgibbon's - Jim, Marylouise, Luke, Dylan, Ethan and Gracelouise - such an amazing family.
We had the villa all to ourselves! It was so much fun!
It (Beachcomber) had a pool, hot tub, ping pong table, badminton net, a green space to play football on, and amazing lemon and orange trees. Grandpa and Anne would climb in the mornings to make freshly squeezed orange juice! Seriously YUMMY! We played ultimate frisbee, football matches and had a family game day.

This sunset was hard to ignore
Getting ready to watch the Greatest Showman!!

Exploring the beach!
On our walk down to the beach...

Easter Sunday
On Easer Sunday, we honored both our faith's together. We were able to watch General Conference and hear Elder Uchtdorf talk, and then went to Catholic Mass with the Fitzgibbon's. We found the cutest church called Igreja de Santa Maria in Lagos. It has been a place of worship since 1498 and continues to be a vibrant local church here. It was a great experience for my kids to experience and appreciate the faith of our friends.

Josh and Anne ♡

Dad, Mom and Grandpa went on a beautiful morning walk along the coast!

The coastline was AMAZING and these men are the best!
Yes, yes please hold your applause. We are proud to present Ike's hair (done by the fabulous Anne Elyse) in two dutch braids. Yes, we know it's truly beautiful. (although mom and dad might think otherwise)
Beach Day!!
Anne, Ty & Luke boogie boarding- they had so much fun!

Ike took advantage of the ideal beach backdrop for a perfect photoshoot opportunity ;)
Yes, the water was a little bit cold

Last day morning walks...

We absolutely love the Fitzgibbon family. They were a blast to travel with.
Jim, Marylouise, Luke, Dillan, Ethan and Gracelouise

Cannot believe how wonderful it is to travel with Wayne and Barb.
We have so much fun with them and they are the best traveling companions.

Segway Tour :)
Last minute, we decided to do a Segway tour through the national park (which was more like a salt field). The guide said there was 100% chance of no rain, even though there were clouds that said other wise. About 30 minutes into the tour, it starts to down pour rain, with the addition of pleasant thunder and lighting. Yay!! We were all sopping wet, but we did get new outfits, which is always a bonus. :)
Nevertheless, it was an unforgettable experience.

Thanks Portugal for this unforgettable experience!!!!
