"It's the Most wonderful time of the year"
December is full of LOTS of activities around here- but it's always SO MUCH FUN.
This year the Chapman's and the Remington's came across the pond to
spend christmas with us. Everyone arrived on Saturday, and that night,
we went to the Aladdin Pantomime show in Richmond.

This view was so gorgeous from the castle. This church has ruins from the 9th to 11th century!!
A Romanesque church was built round 1142 and of special interest has the "wishing bell". It is said that whoever rings this bell and thereby gives honour to Virgin Mary gets his wish come true.
According to the legend, a young widow Poliksena once lived at the Bled Castle, who had a bell casted for the chapel on the island in memory of her husband. During the transport of the bell, a terrible storm struck the boat and sank it together with the crew and the bell, which to this day is said to ring from the depths of the lake. After the widow died, the Pope consecrated a new bell and sent it to the Bled Island.
This is how Chloe asked Ike out to prom - in the cutest way, in front of Lake Bled. She has this adorable poster made and hauled it around with her just for this moment!!
Anne turned 14 in Lake Bled! Anne is the most adorable, charming, incredibly talented, fun, vivacious and wonderful daughter. We are SO blessed to have her in our family and love everything about her.

We got to meet up with the Remingtons again!! We had the best time at Harry Potter World! It was absolutely incredible. The Remington's gave it to us as a gift for Christmas. Thank you SO much!

We flew to Slovenia the next day and walked through the most beautiful little town called Ljubljana...the capital city of this quaint country. (Sadly, we go to the airport and Jordan's passport was not valid to travel into Europe so he and Jess stayed behind in our home and enjoyed London together. ) Ljubljana was an absolutely amazing city with the cutest Christmas market. We all picked names and went shopping for our "secret santa" gift.

Then off to the Austrian Castle!!
The kids called the castle creepy (it was over 300 years old and tucked away in the Austrian Alps in a little village called Gnesau.) It was incredibly cold, but the individual apartments were cozy and warm. It was definitely not the Ritz, but we had some good laughs and saw a little bit about what it would have been like to live in an old castle! haha

Selfie Time! The Remingtons went to Paris for a few days and we stayed another day and visited the charming town of Hallstatt. SO picturesque..Ty got Spencer a selfie stick for Christmas so this was our first shot with it.
