Oh! I Love this time of the year! This event has become such a highlight in our school experience. This year I was incharge of the international parade and decorating for the American Booth.
Anne had to jump in for Egypt because they didn't have a child to carry it's flag! So many people said, "I was confused when I saw Anne carrying the Egyptian flag!" haha! But we wanted it in there because the parent's who were Egyptian, had older kids who would not carry a flag, but they wanted it to be mentioned. :)
Ty was AMAZING in his rock band performance. He had a solo to the
song Hall of Fame on the piano. GO TY!

Paris Temple Open House
The youth of the Staines Stake woke up on Saturday Morning at 4:00am to take a bus to the Ferry to
go to France. We had such a fun time! That is our Stake President (President Ball) to the far right.
I love to see the temple... We couldn't pass up the opportunity to go to the Paris (Versailles) Temple open house.

Our great friend Maddie, who is investigating the church, came with us to the temple.
We had an amazing time. The inside of the temple was spectacular. This temple took 19 years to get approved in this area of the world and it's the first one in France.
The McKeon family came with us to Versailles. We all spent the night and in the morning had
AMAZING crêpes and went to the Palace. Buck, Claire, Joseph, Tim, Melanie, Stephen, Kyle, John & Emily!
In the famous Hall of Mirrors! My favorite comment was from Maddie.. asked her, "Do you just love the Hall of Mirrors?!" She thoughtful said, "Oh yes!" (With her darling British accent...) "But I think I prefer the mirrors in the celestial room more." Wow! What a perspective xxxx

Kelly comes to Visit!!
Kelly Ahlander has been a dear DEAR friend for many years. I was absolutely over joyed when she spent an day and a half with us. Not enough time, but still WONDERFUL.

Unfortuantly, Anne's arm was infected with a bug (spider) bite.
Anne and I spent 2 and a half days in the hospital! It wasn't very fun- but we did get Dad's milkshakes, watch Legally Blonde and play card games- ok maybe it was a little fun :)

Steeds Come to England!!!
The Steed's took us to Brighton on a short Hike at Devil's Dyke. Devil's Dykes was
formed by glaciers from the last ice age.

We were also able to take Mike and Val to visit the England Temple. They were so much fun and we laughed and laughed and had great conversation. They have been our close friends for almost 20 years!!! All the
kids got to know them and just loved them too.
It was so fun to spend time with them for a couple of weeks.
Ty goes to Camp!
Ty, along with his grade 5, went to Mill on the Brue for a 4 day camp.
They had so much fun and did many fun activities: such as crate stacking, leap of faith
and on of Europe's longest zip-lines.

South's House goes south😢
On a Tuesday, June 7th, tragedy struck in Menan, Idaho. Jason was in Montana, Vanessa was down in Texas with her husband Josh, Mitchell was serving a mission the Ukraine, Reggie and Robbie were out working, and Aunt Jennifer was driving Will to Young Men's- only 15 minutes to get there and back. As she was pulling into her drive way- her house was in flames. Fire-fighters did all they could but according to the local news department, "the house was a complete loss." Everything was gone. Officials say it was a kitchen fire and it could have well been an explosion- it is a huge miracle that no one was in the house.
So many people showed up to help! I love my family and peeps. Aunt Jennifer is known as our Family Historian- she has thousands of photographs that were presumed lost during the fire. The house was in ashes but they found several photo albums melted and were able to pry them open. Inside were thousands of untouched photographs- Aunt Jennifer's favorite thing had been saved.
In addition, they also found her temple bag, and her temple recommend was still there, not burned! She found her baby blessing dress that our Nanny made for her. Also, they found a chest with all the children's journals- not damaged by the fire. As Aunt Jennifer continued to search the house, she found Mitchell's Mission call to the Ukraine, only singed around the edges.
Many, many miracles have occurred from this tragedy and we are extremely grateful for all of them. ☺
Ty's Grade 5 Fun!
As room mom, with Clarisa Allyon, we were in charge of the celebration for the end of the year.
5th grade graduation was a huge success and a lot of fun.
