Weddings, Volleyball and Football Magic!

Fernanda and Christian Radeke's Wedding
We were, as a family, able to attend this beautiful wedding of our dear friends and ward member's Christian (from Germany) and Fernanda (from Brazil). The civil wedding was so beautuiful and we all had the nicest time together celebrating with them. That evening we were able to go to the London England temple with them and see them sealed for time and all eternity. It was a VERY special day.
I think one of the sweetest realizations was that these two do not speak English as a first language, yet it is the language they fell in love with. It is their "love language." What a remarkable story of two people meeting in such an unlikely place and falling in love...
Josh and Adam Petchey LOVED the "free" drinks!
 Other dear ward members -
Amelia, Isaac and Vicky Petchey, Vanessa and Tony Russell, Ike and Ty and Jason, Emily and Lauren Carroll
Fernand's darling sister Bia and her husband Adib
 Annie Petchey and Anne Elyse

The figures on top are a replica of the bride and groom in their wedding clothes! So cute!

It was a BBQ dinner (yummy...) and we all had aprons to wear so we could
enjoy the meal without making a huge mess of ourselves.
Then came the dancing...Oh boy was it fun!

The Vieira Family - Carlos, Renata, Beatriz, Bianca and Nicole (yes..they are SUCH cute little girls)

Good-byes
VANE FAMILY- Jake, Sara, Emma, Ashlyn and ??
We have come to the realization that good-byes are part of our life now. People, GREAT people, come in and out of our lives over and over and although we feel so blessed to have rubbed shoulders with them for a little while, it STINKS to say good-bye.
Jessica Allen from NY
Sister Jacqueline Fleurin from Germany and her family.

This was the day Rod and Jenn came in from Canada.
I took them to Windsor and then to Ike's volleyball game afterwards.

Ike's role on the team was setter. He absolutely loves this sport, and it had a lot to do with the great teammates and especially his incredibly dedicated Coach Emmanuel. What a great experience this has been for Isaac.

The "in-between moments" of life...
Ty and Nico getting ready to leave for basketball practice. We were digging Nico's Celtic's jacket.
 Spencer's birthday party!

ASCOT UNITED FOOTBALL
Josh is in his second year with Ascot United Football Club.
He is such an animal on the pitch and absolutely loves this sport. He won't stop until he's scored a goal.

Scotland
Ike's team went to Scotland (Aberdeen) to play in their final tournament. Spencer and Ty went up at their fan club. Ty had the best three days with his dad and watching Ike play. What a fun experience!

Serious quality time with Dad :)
 "For Scotland!"
I think that is one proud little brother

Our school has never had such a successful Varsity Volleyball team. They ended up winning all
their tournaments including defeating the four year winning French team! I think we will be
watching Ike play more volleyball in the future. Go JAGS!!
Fun little updates...
