Joshy's CTR Day!

July 16, 2016
Josh's Baptism Day
Our sweet little boy was baptized today. (Just look at those perfect freckles across the bridge of his nose!)The day started out with a heavy rainfall and turned into a beautiful morning. We were in Lethbridge, Alberta staying at Gram-Gram and Grandpa's house. Mimi was able to come up, thanks to her great friend, Julie Gneiting; and the Holt cousins, Auntie Michelle and Le'Olani were all there helping to make this day such a special day.
Here's Joshy standing in front of Grandpa's beautiful flower garden wearing one of Papa's stunning ties.
Josh's special gift is that he's a friend to everyone. He's never met a stranger and loves people. Josh sees no boundaries. It's not uncommon to walk around his school campus and have people --old, young, teenager or teacher, campus worker or other school employee-- holler out a "hey Josh!" or to have him call out their name.

This is the gift Josh has been waiting for for the past two years...a 'comforter' minky blanket from
Gram-Gram. She made his beautiful blanket with his favorite colors orange and blue and
had a football embroidered by his name. He was SO pleased! We love you Gram-Gram.
Mimi was not supposed to be able to come because she was to keep her one leg up for a few days. But her great friend, Julie Gneiting, "happened" to call her yesterday and said, "Let's Go! I'll drive. You keep your leg up and it'll be fun to catch up." So they arrived last evening at 10pm and then had to leave right after the baptism at 1pm. They were so awesome to come. It meant so much to us.
Busy preparing for the baptism!
I don't know what I would have done without Barb, Wayne, Spencer, Rodney and these two
awesome sister-in-law's - Jenn and Michelle! We were up late last night frosting CTR cookies together.

Spencer and Josh - We love our Dad!

Our family with the Balderson's. Tammy, Danny, Levi, Bailey, Brooklyn, Weston, Klancey, and little Brittany Paige!

Everyone signed their name in the darling baptismal book Auntie Natalie gave him and then
marked their favorite verse in his new scriptures, with their name written by it, for Josh
to discover as he begins to read these amazing books.
Le'Olani played the prelude music beautifully.
Auntie Inge and her sister Angelique.
 Such a sweet sweet face.
Getting ready to be baptized.

We made a waffle bar (for we will not 'waffle' in our belief!) for everyone to come and enjoy with all sorts of great toppings! Guests were able to 'Choose ye this day...Manna Banana, L. Tom Berry, Tropical Triple Combination, and Peter Priesthood Peanut Butter/Molly Mormon Maple Syrup!"

Everyone could enjoy a CTR sugar cookie if they wanted :)
