Strawberry Hill House
When Barb and Wayne landed at around 11:00am and they were up and ready to go. I drove them from the airport to Twickenham and we visited Strawberry Hill House. The house was built by Horace Walpole
(1717 - 1797) son of Sir Robert, Britain's first Prime Minister.

He was a master of faux design. Each room was meant to look like and feel like a castle's room, but in actuality, was painted on or embellished to have a feel of wealth, but not having used the actual materials.

Hampton Court Palace
Hampton Court Palace
We went the next morning to Hampton Court Palace and had the best time!
The day was brisk but very lovely and the palace gardens were really beautiful.
We happen to be there on a day when people were reenacting what it was like to have lived there then. It was very fun to watch scenes with Anne Boleyn and King Henry the VIII.
Ty's Grade 4 Celebration of Learning
Ty's poster board filled with his poetry, autobiography, art and historical facts they have been studying.
He was asked to play his piano piece during the celebration as were other children asked to perform their talents. It was really an impressive time to see all that these children are accomplishing.
